Author assistant

Harper Collins has created the Author Assistant, an site where its authors can create and update pages with ease. It's a nice way to promote the author and its books, but also to better know the readers.

The Business of Books: Booksellers and the English Book Trade 1450-1850.

Sorry for the silence, but my activities in the University started this week and I'm still overwhelmed with everything. I'm sure soon I'll back on track and be able to post here regularly (maybe not everyday). And I'm also pretty sure that I'll learn some cool stuff from there to share with you, in the last days I've been meeting some people that like books in a strange way like I do ;-) For the moment, check this nice book The Business of Books: Booksellers and the English Book Trade 1450-1850.

A Universidade de Edimburgh, na Escócia, lançou agora uma pós-gradução muito tentadora, Material Cultures and the History of the Book.

It's a pity that Brazil doesn't have much options for who wants to study about books, in any point of view, historical, editorial... The field is very small even abroad. Now the University of Edimburgh launched a course called Material Cultures and the History of the Book. It seems a little similar to the one I will start to attend in one month, in Leiden. But it's always good to see new options!
